Thetford Township board seeks CDBG spending ideas

The Thetford Township Board will hold a public hearing on applying for Community Development Block Grant funds at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The township is projected to receive $8,093 for 2010 which can only be used on public improvements, public service activities, decent housing and economic opportunities. Clio OKs wind turbines

CLIO — Wind power is now regulated in the city. The Clio Commissioners approved an ordinance to govern the use of wind energy turbines during Monday’s meeting. Genesee County reports death related to H1N1 flu

GENESEE COUNTY, Michigan -- Public health officials say a Genesee County woman in her 50s died last week from illness associated with the H1N1 influenza virus. Department of Natural Resources offers reminders for firearms deer season

LANSING, Michigan — State wildlife experts say deer hunters could find a late corn harvest impacting their hunt this year. The corn harvest is further behind schedule this fall than at any time in the last 20 years, according to the Department of Natural Resources.
