FLINT, Michigan -- China is the world's second-largest automobile market after the United States, making it a natural destination for Kettering University students.
So a group of about 20 business, marketing and engineering students will tour plants and cultural attractions in Beijing, Shanghai and other cities in June for two weeks during a break in classes.
It's the first time Kettering has hosted a student trip to China.
"China is a big player," said Karen Cayo, who will lead the tour with fellow business instructor Dr. Beverly Jones. "We both have something to learn from each other."

"He needs to come to Flint and meet some of these folks," Obama told an invitation-only crowd of more than 200 at Mott Community College. "You don't need to tell people in Flint ... that our economy is not in good shape. But you do need to tell John McCain."
