• Regarding an article about the Grand Blanc School District suspending seven students over a topless photo of a ninth-grade girl that was circulated on cellphones at Grand Blanc High School:
"This is a clear result of a society that develops technology as fast as it can because it sells, but never takes the time to consider what the implications are. We say we can communicate better today than any other time in history. I disagree. Faster, maybe, but not better."

"I never would have purchased a Buick ... had Tiger Woods not endorsed its product."

"Mahew111, seriously? Drinking Tang when you're 6 because astronauts did is one thing. Spending $20,000-$30,000 on a car because a celebrity says it's cool, when clearly it is not, is quite another. ... If GM had not given him millions to do so, Tiger would never set foot in a Buick. ... I could see Arnold Palmer endorsing Buick, but not Tiger Woods."

"How come no one has tried to help this woman? She and her son are living in their car. Something is wrong with this picture. I really feel bad for the animals, especially the cats (which had to be euthanized), but at least they're not in that horrible condition any more. ... I can't believe the way people treat their pets. If you can't afford to take proper care of your pets, then find a good home for them, or better yet, don't get a pet in the first place."
