If you can't afford to take proper care of your pets, then find a good home for them, or better yet, don't get a pet in the first place."

    Slippery roads and accidents on the minds of Flint Journal online readers

    After using the jaws of life, emergency personnel remove a victim from a Chevy Blazer after an accident with a Dodge pickup truck Monday night on Beecher Road near Gilbert Street in Flint Township. The victim suffered minor injuries and was sent to an area hospital. Authorities believe weather was a factor in the accident that occurred on the bridge over I-75. Dozens of accidents occurred during the snowy night across Genesee County.
