Gas prices have gone up 75 cents since this time last year

Shiawassee Art Center holds potter workshop for clay artists of all levels

The Shiawassee Arts Center welcomes interested potters and clay artists for an inspirational weekend of learning, sharing, discussing and observing local Master Potter, Jim Reinert. The workshop, which will be held 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28, will include advanced throwing, handbuilding techniques, surface decoration and other demonstrations. Auditions held for Clio Cast & Crew's 'Steel Magnolias'

Clio Cast & Crew, Inc. will hold auditions for its next production, "Steel Magnolias," set to run May 14-23. Six women -- between the ages of 18 and 70 -- are needed for the production. Flint-area residents bring awards back to Vehicle City from Detroit's Autorama
