Oakland County election results: Voters say no to proposals, yes to newcomers

Voters in Oakland County said no to a series of proposals but yes to a handful of newcomers. Here's a look at some of the most interesting results:
- Berkley Mayor: Mayor Marilyn Stephan held off challengers Jamie Stepanian-Bennett and former mayor Maybelle Fraser. (More)
- Berkley Proposal 1: Voters rejected a proposal to sell bonds to build a $15 million community center (More)
- Pontiac Council: Six new faces will sit on the council this January: Patrice Waterman, George Williams, Mary Pietila, Donald Watkins, Randy Carter and Kermit Williams (More)
- Pontiac Mayor: Local businessman and attorney Leon Jukowski defeated Sandy-Michael McDonals by just more than 400 votes. (More)
- Royal Oak Liquor License Proposal: Voters decided not to amend a liquor control ordinance that would enact a two-year moratorium on the transfer of liquor licenses. (More)
- Southfield Mayor: Incumbent Brenda Lawrence soundly defeated former City Councilwoman Sylvia Jordan. (More)
- Southfield Council: Janna Garrison will fill the vacant seat left by William Lattimore, who earlier this year pleaded guilty to bribery charges. (More)
