Bye-bye, Barry's.
In September when Steve & Barry's said it would keep its Fashion Square Mall outlet open -- despite closing more than 100 sites nationwide, including one at Midland Mall -- it looked like the Saginaw Township site escaped the chopping block.
Not the case.
The Port Washington, N.Y.-based retailer Tuesday said a joint venture group will shutter the remaining 173 stores over the course of the holiday shopping season.
A U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge had approved a $163 million acquisition of the university logo discount clothier to a pair of companies from New York and Denver.
Steve & Barry's University Sportswear will close its Fashion Square Mall store.
