Beardsley: Unproven Spartans deserve ranking

Grand Rapids Press columnist Howie Beardsley joined Bill Simonson inside the "GR Press Box" to talk about Michigan and Michigan State football.

"I think (the Spartans) belong (in the top 25) right now, but they haven't played anybody yet," Beardsley said. "I think they got a little exposed on Saturday. Iowa showed if you're a big, physical team and you crowd that box then you have a chance to beat Michigan State."

Sorry tate, but you are wrong once again. The last time State was in the AP was in 2005 and MSU was #23 at one point last year in the coaches poll. Another troll comment from an ignorant U of M fan, way to make U of M look even worse.

tater, You continue to be the FACE of the UM Trolls. I love how you slam trolls at the UM site yet continue to slither in to other forums and post. I guess it's okay for you to do....just nobody else right? How does it feel watching your little sister with a 5-1 record while you can't muster a .500 season?

Ringer is going to run all over tthat over-rated Northwestern D. Let's face it. The real test is going to be October 18th verses the Buckeyes. I have my seats and rumor has it the ESPN Gameday will be in East Lansing for the MSU-OSU game. Get your sign ready!!! Go Spartans!!!

It is so hard to keep a straight face listening to Ted Baxter interviewing people!!!!

All joking aside, I believe that MSU will have it's hands full playing NW this weekend. I really can't pick a winner. That NW team has an outstanding quarterback and I DO believe he is one of the best, if not THE best in the Big Ten. Hoyer is the Spartans weak link and I am afraid that teams will do as Iowa did and stack the box against Ringer and force Hoyer to beat them. Notice that even when Ringer was on the sideline, Iowa stacked the box almost saying, 'it's about you Hoyer, no Ringer'. If that is the case, even now as a senior Hoyer has proven he is not up to the task. He DID have ONE good Penn State game but he is probably the single worst QB the Spartans have had in the last 20 or so years. Just think back and pick one who was worse. The reason the Spartans are winning is because of coaching and Dantonio is the real deal in that regard. The MSU program is heading nowhere but up and he will be in East Lansing for many, many years.

tate=wmu001. I think they are the same dumb arses that try to rile up us Spartans. I could care less what you think ignorant mules. I guess I do not understand why this person (tate/wmu) spend so much time on MSU webpages instead of U of M. Hmmmmm......I guess he/she longs to have some sort of human interaction and this is the only way to get it.
