Harwell on WDFN: Tigers will make playoffs

Like many Tigers fans, longtime announcer Ernie Harwell was disappointed by the team's performance early in the season.
"I never saw a team here that was so up and down," he told WDFN-AM's Stoney and Wojo during their annual Radiothon fundraiser.
But the Tigers appear to be putting their problems behind them, and Harwell is optimistic about the team's future.
"I think they're pretty much on the right track now and I think they'll make the playoffs," he said. "I really do."

Always great to hear Ernie on the radio, so glad that him and Lulu are doing well.
I'm going to give it to you straight and not sugar coat it...
Ernie is an icon and a legend. Decades and decades from now, people will talk about this guy and they will talk about him as if his story is a myth.
I'm going to have to agree with Ernie....They're going all the way. what a nice guy
I met Ernie back in 1985 and you could never meet a nicer gentleman. Best of luck gto him and Lulu.
I can't agree with him about the Tigs. They need to have their pitchers step up and do something in order for them to get into the playoffs. I don't see that happening from the group they currently have. BjutI'm hoping he's right.
